Horn
Central Europe (Poland?); 17th/18th c.
The three pieces of the hollow horn are arranged to resemble an elephant's tusk. The high relief carving has three different compositions divided by bands. The central concave part of the horn shows the coat of arms of the Kingdom of Poland as it was in 1386, lying on ermine. It has the crowned eagle with outspread wings and legs of the Piast dynasty and the horseman of the Jagellon dynasty with a royal crown.
