Depending on the tradition of different art schools some sculptures are more expressive (St John the Baptist, Ile-de-France) or idealistic: the two Italian Angel Candlesticks with their prettier faces and greater grace, or the Salzburg Virgin and Child with its fine semi-melancholy face and aristocratic stance. The valuable carved mask on the seat of the wooden choir stall (misericordia) is outstanding among the wooden sculptures.
