Hellenism; 3rd c. BC
The figure of a youth in early adolescence in a relaxed posture standing firmly on his left leg with the right one bent in the knee, only the toes touching the ground. The relaxed body is emphasized by a softly shaped torso and it shows the boy's body in a naturalistic way at the beginning of his development. He has short thick hair with large curls and his face, despite its idealized beauty, reveals tension which contrasts with the relaxed body.
