Statuette of a Man
Etruscan; 2nd half 5th c. BC
Like other similar figures, he may have represented Hercules swinging a club with his right hand and with a stylized lion skin thrown over his left arm. The face is beardless and the eye pupils are marked by holes. His hair is finely engraved and wound round his head. There is a knob on the top of his head which indicates that the statue was part of something else.
